General Information for using FACT-Finder

The FACT-FInder Framework consists of three Java web applications. These apps are supplied by Omikron and have distinct tasks:

  • a search application (fact-finder.war), which contains business logic and processes search queries.
  • an analytics application (analytics.war), which processes search logs and hands over search behaviour information to the search application and the user interface. This analytics data are relevant to some search app imports (e.g. ASO, Suggest) and are essential to others (e.g. Recommendation Engine).
  • a management Interface (fff-ui.war), which allows you to configure the search application and review anayitcs results.

You should have received a licence key file from Omikron. THis is necessary for using FACT-Finder.

All applications store theri data (e.g. configuration) in their own folders. These folders can be found in a resource folder, the path of which is defined by an environment variable.
